Survival Clinic - 1 Day
Description:
Learn some incredible survival techniques, sharpen your bushcraft skills, and enjoy an amazing day in the Canadian Rockies. Our one day survival and bush-craft clinic packs in as much info as we can. Participants will focus on theory, outdoor awareness, preparedness, tricks and techniques to keep you alive in emergency situations and a lot of practical bushcraft skills. Participants will gain skills which can be used in almost every outdoor scenarios from camping, to hiking to hunting. We cover skills such as making fires in extreme conditions, orienteering with compass and map, edible & medicinal plants, basic snaring, knots and tarp shelters, axe and hatchet craft.
Price: Adult (17+): $120 CAD per person
Youth (15-17): $120 CAD per person
Child ( 8 - 14): $85 CAD per person

Day 1
9:30 am: Meet and greet with your instructor. From Canmore we drive approximately 40 km to our training location into the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
10:00 am - 5:00 pm: We set up our outdoor classroom and start by covering what precautions to take and dangers to avoid as well as proper equipment and priorities during emergencies. We move on to making survival fires under adverse conditions. The emphasis of the course is on developing practical and useful bushcraft and overall outdoor skills. We also cover useful knots, orienteering, axe and hatchet craft.
